MSM β€” 500 mg

AΒ sulfur-containing compound used in joint-support supplements. It is included to support joint comfort and mobility, although evidence for its effectiveness in dogs remains limited.

Yucca root β€” 250 mg

A plant-derived ingredient traditionally used in animal and joint supplements. Its specific benefits for canine joint health have not been firmly established.

Chondroitin sulfate β€” 120 mg

A component of cartilage that helps it maintain its structure and water content. It is frequently paired with glucosamine in joint-support formulas.

Ascorbic acid (Vitamin C) β€” 50 mg

These are the published product directions, not individualized veterinary dosing advice. Confirm the serving guide on your store's actual package before advising customers.

How to give the chews

  1. Check your dog's weight and determine the corresponding serving.

  2. Offer the chew as a treat, following the package directions.

  3. If the daily serving includes multiple chews, ask your veterinarian whether splitting the amount between morning and evening is appropriate.

  4. Monitor your dog for any unusual reactions, particularly when first introducing the product.

  5. Do not increase the amount if you don't notice an immediate effect.

Oral CBD products may take approximately 30–45 minutes or longer to be absorbed, and the time to notice an effect varies. Joint-support supplements may require consistent use over time, and their benefits are not guaranteed.

Warnings and precautions

Before giving these chews to a dog, review the following safety information.

  • Consult a veterinarian first. This is especially important for dogs with arthritis, chronic pain, liver or kidney conditions, or other health concerns.

  • Medication interactions are possible. CBD may affect how certain medications are metabolized, including some sedatives and seizure medications. Your veterinarian should review all medications and supplements your dog takes.

  • Watch for side effects. Potential CBD-related effects include drowsiness, diarrhea, vomiting, reduced appetite, or unsteadiness. Stop use and contact your veterinarian if symptoms occur.

  • Check for food allergies. The formula contains peanut butter, coconut, and garbanzo bean flour. Review the full ingredient list if your dog has known allergies or dietary sensitivities.

  • Do not exceed the suggested serving. Giving additional chews may increase the risk of side effects.

  • Do not combine supplements without guidance. Other joint supplements or pain medications may duplicate ingredients or interact with CBD.

  • Store safely. Keep the container closed in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and out of reach of children and pets.

  • Check the certificate of analysis (COA). Review the lab report for the specific batch when available. Broad-spectrum products are marketed as having no detectable THC, but customers should not assume every hemp product is entirely risk-free.

Important FDA information

The FDA has not approved CBD products for treating medical conditions in animals. It has also issued a warning letter to CBDfx concerning certain CBD products marketed for animal use. These chews should not be represented as a proven treatment for arthritis, pain, or other diseases.

If your dog has persistent limping, stiffness, trouble standing, or worsening mobility, a veterinary examination is important rather than relying on supplements alone.
